  Dateline- Denison, TX
  Opening day at Freddy's is today.  Spot on and kudos in every way!
  The Original Swiss Patty Melt on Rye - need u say more!  (#5 on the menu) caramelized/grill onions with 2 thin steak burger patties and   Swiss Cheese----on toasted rye bread!  Deliciousness in every bite.  
  I love the hot, crispy skinny fries!   Okay, I'll tell Paul Harvey "rest of the story"
  I also ate most of a scoop  of the creamy vanilla custard.  I would have eaten all of it, but I was too full and so the rest is now in my freezer
  
  Now for the best part-  (as if it could get any better than an awesome meal) I got there about 7 p m for dinner.  They were busy and the staff reaffirmed that there had been a lot of customers for this first day of business !!
  - drum roll ....everyone was polite, checking on customers, getting orders out in a very timely manner and they were all still smiling !  
  Matt Gierhart, the area director , was doing a fabulous job of supporting his crew and checking on customers.   In fact, all of the staff was very supportive and helpful of everyone.

  I like most all the food. The staff is usually inefficient on my visits, though. The quality of the food is brought down by the service. My last visit, I ordered a large cheese curds which are DELICIOUS! However, the only difference in my usual medium order and the large order today was the container and the price. In fact, I received less cheese curds in the large order. And, as usual, no ranch, napkins, or salt. Which I've grown accustomed to asking for since I never get them. But, on arriving home, I've none of the things I've specifically asked for. Check your order before leaving my fellow snackers to avoid disappointment. I give the food quality a solid 4 stars but the experience is cut in half by the service which compared to the prices leaves you feeling cheated.

  Horrendous experience.  No help from the staff with ordering, then got our order wrong, after waiting 10 minutes they told us the were out of BREAD so they couldn't make the grilled cheese for our vegetarian... ended up leaving hungry and vowing never to go back. Save your time and money.

  Groovy environment, but lacked cleanliness. Unwiped tables, napkins and fries all over the floor, and full sauce cups surrounding sauce machines. I will say the bathrooms were clean! Food was good and we were given generous portions. The music was probably the best part- I would come back!

  I am the burger aficionado...here is my take. The burger is decent, comparable to In and Out but not quite as good. The burger patty is good quality, tender and not over cooked. I went with the double with bacon and cheese which seemed a bit much for such a small sandwich. The bacon and cheese seemed to make it too salty. I also made the mistake of asking for mayo and they slathered on way too much. Here is a major tip for burger shops like this one, please toast your buns! I will stop again and will try another burger.
